Here are 10 easy ways to stay energized throughout the day!
Tip #1: Hydration. Make sure you are staying hydrated! Drink 8-10 glasses of water each day! Water is your energy drink. Learn to love it! It is good for your body!
Tip #2: Exercise. Exercise. Exercise. Start your day off right by getting up and being active. Thirty minutes of exercise per day is necessary to staying healthy.
Tip #3: Nutrition. Eat a well-balanced meal! Make sure your meal consists of fruits, vegetables, protein, grain, and dairy! Additionally, don’t stuff yourself! Overeating will make you sluggish. One way to avoid overeating is snacking every two hours on small meals. This will help resist cravings. Eat healthy snacks between meals such as nuts, yogurt, and fruit.
Tip #4: Avoid Sugar highs. Foods high in sugars or greasy foods often give you sudden energy followed by an energy crash.
Tip #5: Vitamins. Adding vitamins to your diet will help make sure you are getting the proper nutrients. One vitamin in particular, B-12, is a specific natural energy aid!
Tip #6: Breakfast! It’s the most important meal of the day. If you're not a breakfast person, find something you like! Eating something quick and small will give you that extra boost to get you through the day! Greek yogurt is low in calories and will give you protein. It really makes a difference!
Tip #7: Go Outside. Don’t stay glued to your desk. Get up and get moving. On your break, take a walk outside! The sun is an excellent source of Vitamin D!
Tip #8: Be Passionate. Find ways to enjoy being at work and have fun doing your job! When you are doing tasks you like to do, it is easier to stay alert and awake! Also switching between tasks will keep you awake.
Tip #9: Rest. Taking a nap for 10-30 minutes during the day will help you staying awake throughout the day!
Tip #10: Sleep. Sleep is very important. Getting too much or too little sleep can make it hard to get through the day! The proper amount of sleep needed is 7-9 hours every night!
