Who We Are

Footprints To Fitness is a wellness company whose mission is to help others live a fun and balanced life, while staying true to our New Orleans culture. We love to EAT, DRINK, and DANCE to the beat of our own brass band. 

Our goal is to “Join The Journey” with you to living a healthier lifestyle. Whether you're experiencing our weekly Group Training Classes, signature Healthy Happy Hours, and/or custom wellness events you'll have a great time. There's something for everyone.

Our Journey

Our journey began with founder April Dupre's passion to help others. The popular spiritual story 'Footprints in the Sand' provides the inspiration for our name and philosophy. There’s an iconic line at the end which states, “During the times you saw one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” As April says:

“This inspired me to be that person for others. I want to be a part of people’s journeys, helping them during their challenging times. Living a great quality of life is hard when you don't know anything else, but once you become educated on what it takes, it becomes a way of life! My ultimate mission is to show others that living a balanced life is the key to happiness...and having a ton of fun doing it!”

Meet April Dupré

Founder | Wellness Coach

April is a lover of animals, music, dance, corny puns, and a true New Orleans native. Her favorite meal is 5 lbs of crawfish, a sno-ball, and an order of beignets! It doesn't get more Nola than dat!

“Like any other New Orleanian, I love to eat and drink, however, I've found a balance between treating myself and staying healthy! Don’t get me wrong, I struggle; that’s a part of life, but I try not to let it define who I am.”

Born and raised in Gentilly with a serious passion for health and wellness and her city, April has 13 years of experience in the industry. April has been passionate about wellness her entire life starting as a dancer and athlete and later transitioning into teaching dance, fitness, Health and Physical Education. She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Orleans and is a certified fitness instructor, personal trainer, and CPR instructor. She was also a member of the New Orleans Saintsations. April's devoted her entire life to educating others on taking charge of their lives and finding a healthy mind and body balance.
