Recipe: Roasted Chickpeas

Alright guys, let's imagine… It’s late and you have a craving for something salty, crunchy and delicious. You begin to think and... DING DING! Chips come to mind, but then so do the thoughts about why you bought chips in the first place. This back and forth thought process ends with a bag of chips in your hands. It's all games until you feel icky and resort to regretting your life decisions. OK, I'm being dramatic here, but I think we all know what i’m getting at.

The time spent in regret is taking away from time that could be spent feeling good. Your time is important, so instead, why not use that time making something that satisfies you. Roasted chickpeas are an easy and delicious replacement for chips, and you can customize them to make any flavor you want! Salty. Sweet. You name it :)

Roasted Chickpeas:

Ingredients::

  • 1 can of chickpeas

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

  • Salt

  • Spice(s) of choice

Steps:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Rinse chickpeas and pat them dry. Ensure they are fully dry for optimal crispiness.

  3. Spread the chickpeas on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and add a pinch of salt.

  4. Bake in the oven at 425 degrees for 25 minutes. Shake about halfway through.

  5. Add seasonings of choice to roasted chickpeas. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Add the seasonings after cooking so the seasonings don’t burn and become bitter.

  • Best stored at room temperature.

  • Eat while still hot for maximum crunchiness.

  • Tasty replacement for croutons.
