Back To School
It’s that time of year again! Getting the kids, or yourself ready for a new school year, yippy! Back to school means a change of schedule and possibly a change in priorities. During the summertime, your priorities may have been to spend time with family or friends, or workout more, or catch up on sleep, whereas your priorities now are probably related to getting yourself or your kids through another successful school year.
School time can get a little hectic especially when you are trying to balance multiple responsibilities all at once. Personally, I know now that school is starting, it is going to be more of a challenge for me to be able to hit the gym as often as I want, or to eat as good as I would normally if it were still summertime. Sometimes it is physically impossible to prioritize things that you want to do when your kids need help with homework or you have an exam coming up, and that is okay. Accepting how things are at a particular time in your life is a major key in establishing an overall healthy lifestyle.
Being able to understand and accept the fact of your schedule changing is a wonderful thing! Most people (like me) get all stressed out when their normal day to day schedule changes, but once you get in the groove of things, everything seems to be back to normal again! Well, until the next thing changes, LOL. Finding balance and happiness within a crazy schedule is not easy, but it is so worth it. Even just taking thirty minutes to do something you want during a crazy day can make all the difference! Take time for yourself, do things you love, and don’t live passively through life.
