Cauliflower Bites

Hey guys, you know when you’re trying a recipe for the first time and then after it’s an immediate YES, this is being made again. Well this recipe is one of those for me. I love this recipe because they are kinda like wings, great because of their ability to be customized to whatever flavor you like. They're delicious, and you’re also getting some nutrients from the cauliflower. Plus! I typically use cauliflower, but I bet broccoli or brussel sprouts would be awesome too.

When I made this recipe, instead of using regular flour I used oat flour, which can be made pretty quickly by blending up some oats to a fine powder. This is just my preference, but it's all up to you!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour of choice

  • 1 Cup Milk of choice

  • 1 Head of Cauliflower

    • Or any veggie that can be dipped

  • ½ tsp. Of garlic powder and salt

    • Or any seasoning mixture you wish

  • Optional:

    •  Any sauce you like if you want “saucy” wings

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 450℉. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Cut cauliflower into bite size pieces. Set aside.

  3. Make batter in a medium sized bowl. Mix in flour, milk, and seasonings until smooth.

  4. Dip cauliflower into batter and place onto the baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until they seem crispy.

  5. Optional Step:

    1. If you’re making them “saucy”, take them out of the oven and dip in sauce. Then bake for another 15 minutes to let them crisp up again.

    2. Turn on the broiler at the end if you’re looking for some extra toast.
